Princess Beatrice spotted in adorable moment with ‘bonus son’ Wolfie

Princess Beatrice was spotted sharing an adorable moment with her “bonus son” Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi – also known as “Wolfie”. The boy joined the many members of the Royal Family on Sunday for the traditional Christmas Day morning service.

Walking from Sandringham House, where King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted their relatives, to St Mary Magdalene Church, little Wolfie was seen holding the hands of both his father, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and stepmother Beatrice.

The six-year-old, born during Edoardo’s previous relationship with architect Dara Huang, was spotted again as the royals were leaving the chapel.

Wolfie was seen exchanging a few words with one of the clerics at the chapel as his father proudly looked on.

Beatrice showed her deep affection for the child as she held his hand and smiled widely at him.

This isn’t the first time Wolfie has joined Edo and Beatrice at a public event.

The boy was one of the many children who sat in the royal box on the last day of the extended bank holiday weekend in June, during which the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee was celebrated.

Sitting between his step-mum and father, the six-year-old looked intently at the hundreds of performers taking part in the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

On either of these occasions, Wolfie was not accompanied by his younger half-sister Sienna Elizabeth – the daughter shared by Edoardo and Beatrice.

Born on September 18 last year, the baby has yet to make a public appearance.

Her parents have so far chosen to shield her from the public eye, and have only shared a picture of her footprints taken on the day of her birth.

In the announcements that followed Sienna’s birth, Beatrice and Edoardo made sure to include her elder brother Wolfie.

In a tweet she shared on October 1 last year, upon announcing the name of her child, Beatrice proudly said: “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best Sienna’s big brother.

Prior to the birth of Sienna, Beatrice had already spoken with warmth about Wolfie, revealing that she had helped homeschool him during the coronavirus lockdown and calling him her “bonus son” rather than stepson.

She told Hello! magazine: “Homeschooling, that was definitely not my forte! Not going to lie. Sadly, I can’t blame that on dyslexia.

“But I’ve felt very lucky to have had the chance to work with my bonus son over the course of the school closures. It was a huge learning curve for all of us.”

Wolfie is also believed to have played an important role in the private wedding of Beatrice and Edoardo.

The pair were meant to get married in May 2020 but had to postpone their nuptials due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

They married two months later at the All Saints Chapel in Windsor, just a short drive away from Windsor Castle, in the presence of only a handful of socially-distanced guests, in accordance with the regulations in place at the time.

During the nuptials, also attended by the late Queen and Prince Philip, Wolfie reportedly acted as his father’s best man.
