Two people jump into London canal to help person in water

Emergency services rushed to the scene after a person reportedly fell into the water this evening. The Police set up a cordon near Heron Quays station, with fire and ambulance services on the scene as well.

A witness has said they believe that two members of the public dove in to rescue the person who fell into the water, MyLondon reports.

At the scene of the incident there is a fire service rescue boat as well as a helicopter circling overhead.

Two people are reportedly sitting wrapped in foil blankets.
